AGREEN Alliance

AGREEN Alliance

The AGREEN Alliance is a network of organizations working in the field of the Climate-smart agriculture.

It is defined as a sustainable cooperation network for development of regional branding, internet connectivity and learning in climate-smart agriculture (CSA).

The membership in the Alliance is based on interests, activity and achievements in the climate-smart, and sustainable agriculture in general, in the Black Sea Basin region. The Alliance is based on a voluntary principle, it has a non-formal network structure and is governed by a joint advisory board.

AGREEN Alliance is currently composed of organizations from Bulgaria, Romania, Turkey, Georgia, Armenia and Greece.

The membership in the Alliance (in addition to the founders) is open to any type of stakeholder organization without limitations – business, education, research, policy-making, other – as long as the organizations applying to participation in the network:

(i) have interest and/or are active in the field of sustainable development of agriculture; and

(ii) are established organizations registered as legal entities within the BSB CBC Programme area.

All AGREEN project partners are founding members of the AGREN Alliance, but new members are also welcome to join it as long as:

  1. – apply for membership by filling in an application form and submit it to their local (country) AGREEN partner;
  2. – recognize and accept the principles, rules and values set in the AGREEN partnership memorandum;
  3. – provide information as requested for presenting them in the AGREEN Alliance portfolio.
