As a public university founded in 2006, Tekirdağ Namık Kemal University offers undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in a wide variety of programs including agriculture, engineering, medicine and health sciences, economics and social sciences, foreign languages and literature, theology, sport education and fine arts. Currently, it hosts about 36.150 students with 2100 academic and administrative staff in service. The university comprises 10 faculties; 3 undergraduate, 11 vocational and 3 graduate schools, a music academy and 11 research centers. Internationally, the university takes part in Erasmus+ mobility activities regarding agreements with 116 institutions from 26 countries. Since its foundation, 16 EU-funded projects as a core of 858 research projects have been co-financed by the university. Being located on a commercially and agriculturally crossroad-zone on the northern coasts of the Marmara Sea, T-NKU offers joint research, university-industry cooperation and international study opportunities.

Tekirdağ Viticulture Research Institute

Area/s of activities, experience, expertise and achievements:

It was established in 1930 in order to enable the re-establishment of regional vineyards destroyed due to the phloxera pest on American Vine Rootstocks resistant to this pest, to produce well-established American Vine Rootstocks and to provide them to vine growers and to serve the development of local viticulture. Since 1958, in addition to its production activities, it has also started research projects. Institution, which continues its research and production activities in viticulture, started activities for the solution of problems in cooperation with other organizations within the scope of the projects in 1979. It still works as a subject organization under the name of Viticulture Research Institute and continues its research, production and training studies to find solutions to problems at every stage of viticulture.

TMMOB Chamber of Agricultural Engineers, which was established in 1954 and operates under the 'Union of Chambers of Turkish Engineers and Architects'; TMMOB Law; It carries out professional activities in line with the provisions of the Agricultural Engineering Law No. 7472, the Chamber Regulation and the Regulation on the Duties and Powers of Agricultural Engineers. ZMO; It is of the opinion that it is necessary to assume responsibility for the democratization of the society, the formation of the economic and social structure by taking into account the national benefits, while remaining within the rules of the rule of law and democracy, respect for human rights and freedoms, as well as professional studies and studies on the field of interest.
